MY COLOURFUL HISTORY

I started working at DigiOutsource [2014] in the Creative Studio after running my own graphic design business for 18 years. Within a short period of time, I was given the opportunity to lead a team of designers.

I had the privilege of building and leading a group of extremely talented designers and being part of a strong Creative Studio – the skills and expertise we offered were top-class.

I facilitated the creative team regarding their design content and implementation, client, stakeholder, and designer expectations among many other aspects.

My energetic personality and critical thinking skills lend themselves well to the work I did.

I excel at communication and building relationships and strive to ensure that every member of the team is working together and informed at each step of the creative process.

Some of responsibilities:

• Remained on top of all new customer trends that might influence brand and content across all regions and adjusted strategy accordingly.
• Recommended and drove brand enhancements based on thorough analysis, by coordinating and collaborating with relevant teams and departments.
• Managed creative output of online and offline design content, ensuring that consistent quality, accurate and engaging work was delivered timeously.
• Provided designers with resources that I kept updated:- Created various design templates [e.g., designer could view lobby design on desktop, mobile and tablet as they were designing]– Translations of various phrases and words in 16 languages- Downloaded, prepped and organised game resources- Sharing of business knowledge- Sourced content to support designer needs according to their expectations and level of expertise.
• Production management including the provision of a system for quick turnaround and urgent jobs.
• Production workflow and project planning. Used a seamless process on Jira that enabled designers and clients to track projects easily and quickly.
• Ensured that all projects were managed, tracked and delivered on time and according to client expectations.- Created a brief template for clients that was kept updated– Reviewed the brief once job logged by client – discussed any queries with them- Organised brainstorm or prep sessions- Prepped the job for designers on Jira [specs, size, time etc.- Assigned job to designer- Very important that designer has a chat with the client as well [a brief is never 100% clear and communication is key for clarity]
• Effective and continuous communication and expectation management for all interested stakeholders.
• Initiated client and designer chat groups in Teams.
• Consistent communication with each team member – always needed to be aware of what they were working on and assist with solutions to any problems they may have experienced with regards to a job.
• Individual catchups with team members on a regular basis.
